Danforth
Creative Design is the studio name for me, Liz Danforth,
and the works I create. Several years ago (around 1998) I realized
I had a hankering to do 3-D work of one kind or another. Eventually
I started "playing in the mud," making tiles, mosaics,
and other ceramic wares. This remains an area of experimentation
and change, so results can be... unpredictable. Here I'll share
a few of the pieces I've managed to turn out (At least, a few
of the more successful ones!) |
You can see look through
my works displayed as thumbnails or as a text list.
To date, I've done work in a few general categories:
Some work is unique: hand-built and
hand-decorated.
Some, I've created a plaster mold of my design
and then done one or more "pressmolded" versions.
I've used a few commercial molds,
and I've made molds in basic shapes from which I can work.
Moreover, there are sub-variations
I won't even get into right here.
Most items displayed have their recommended uses fully described.
If you find yourself wondering about some of the terms I use,
I have provided a Glossary to explain what I am talking about.
(At least, it's what I *think* I'm talking about!)
